BLUETOOTH POSTURE CORRECTOR FOR $20. Intro.

Many of us have suffered of back pain at some stage of our life, just have a bad looking posture standing up or may have a feeling that if you don´t correct your posture you are gonna grow some sort of hump. If you google it looks there are plenty of solutions up there but most of them either don´t work for you, look inconvenient or they are just too pricey for what it actually does.

THE BASIS:

This wearable basically is meant to be placed on your back (positioned either with double sided tape for skin or with elastic cords) and It will vibrate once you tilt too much. By a mobile phone terminal using bluetooth you can set from what angle It is gonna make the device the vibration and It is easy to stop/resume the vibrator at any time.

Some of you may come across already with a product very similar to this one which has more features, looks alright but with a 3 figure price tag. Instead someone with some basic electronics know how can do this one for a price of $20. It is dimensions are very similar to a standard 9V battery, a bit bigger than the off the shelf magic but this DIY project I think It is good value for the money.

PARTS & COMPONENTS:

-Arduino Pro mini 3V3 8 Mhz.

-CH340g USB to TTL converter. (UART comms)

-MPU6050 module Sensor (I2C comms)

-Vibration motor (from old mobile phone)

-BJT Transistor C1815 + (220 Ohm 1/4W Resistor for Ib)

-AT-09 Bluetooth module 4.0 (UART comms)
-250mAh Lipo Battery with BMS built in.
-USB TP4056 Lithium Battery Charger module (with Rp changed to 10K Resistor)

-68K Ohm  and 22K Ohm Resistors (1/4W) for the ADC input to get the Battery level.
-Main simple Switch to deliver/interrupt power from Battery.
-2 pin Connector to hook up battery charger (optional)
-Wires and Cable Ties.

PROTOTYPING:

This First Prototype Video should give you and idea of the basic functioning of the device.
It is being configured and adjusted to work either for walking or being sat down. As I will show in the code description I used two SW filters to avoid any inconvenient output triggers, especially when we walk the accelerometer is sometimes all over the place, we will see how to fix that. As you may have noticed in the video the vibration motor and the led activates at the same time for better visual. And no worries about the blinking, once you firmly attach the vibrator to the whole assembly or housing the intermittent output is gone. As I said It is a Prototype.
