Players Only Poker Room
If you haven’t heard of Players Only Poker, you’re missing out on one of the best sites online. Players Only is one of my favorite sites for a number of reasons.
First, they have good traffic for sit-n-go and heads-up tournaments. I’m partial to these games, and Players Only tournament players are terrible. Part of the reason they’re so bad is that Players Only also has a casino and sportsbook where they draw players in from. A lot of these players are more into the excitement of moving all-in than they are about winning. This means there are fish everywhere you look.
The software at Players Only is great. On the Cake Network, the software is tried and true, with an experienced network behind them. The Poker Room runs very smoothly, with virtually no crashes. The graphics are very nice too, using pictures of real people for the avatars. The buttons are clear, and sound effects are about average.
Another thing I like about the Players Only Poker Room is how easy it is to make credit card deposits. US players sometimes have difficulty making deposits into online poker rooms using credit cards, but Players Only has one of the highest success rates in the industry. So, when I make a deposit, I know my account will get funded. Within 30 seconds of making my deposits, I’m ready to play.
I also love to be able to bet on horse racing at the sportsbook on Sundays. I’m not a big horse racing bettor like some people, but I like to make lots of small, conservative bets. I can usually start with $100 and pretty much break even on most days – but it’s lots of fun.
I’m also not a huge casino guy, but playing a bit of blackjack while I play poker. It keeps me patient while I play in big tournaments or at slow tables. Blackjack has such a good return if you play by the book that it costs me close to nothing to play, but it’s a lot of fun.
Take a look at the site I’ve linked to above. It has tons of great information about Players Only Poker, plus info on the casino and sportsbook too. They also have a bonus code for a $1000 bonus with simple clearing requirements.
