Mayo Shattuck: a Stellar Performance at CEG

From his extensive banking experience at Deutsche Bank Alex. Brown, Mayo Shattuck joined the energy industry backed by a BA degree from Williams College and an MBA from Stanford University. Because of his vision and assertive leadership, Mayo Shattuck’s work with Constellation Energy Group (CEG) has brought quadruple revenues to the company since 2001. CEG has led the energy industry’s financial rankings as it secured a Forbes 125 spot for posting revenues worth $19.8 billion for 2008.

Mayo Shattuck led the company not only toward record-breaking financial growth, but also in its corporate responsibility efforts. In 2005, Constellation Energy was recognized by the Edison Electric Institute for its assistance in restoring Florida’s power after a series of hurricanes hit the area. He has also targeted improved sustainability of CEG’s operations with much success. For four consecutive years starting in 2004, CEG has been listed on the Dow Jones Sustainability Index for being one of the most sustainability-driven and environmentally-sensitive companies in North America. Since its inception, it has demonstrated the capacity to embrace opportunities, manage risks and influence economic, environmental and social development.

Although these successes are not attributable to him alone, Mayo Shattuck’s brilliant leadership has undoubtedly played a pivotal role in CEG’s stellar performance.
